High demand from hospitality sector drives bedding industry growth in the region
Dubai, UAE, 25th September 2014: Intercoil International, the region’s leading manufacturer, retailer and distributor of premium beds, bedding and bedroom furniture, has announced plans to double its production capacity to meet the growing demand from the MENA’s hospitality sector. The company will be exhibiting some of the most innovative products in the industry at the Hotel Show 2014, the Middle East’s most important supply, fit-out and service exhibition for the hospitality market, taking place at Dubai World Trade Centre from 28 – 30th September.
According to latest industry reports, the hospitality sector in the UAE is poised for a massive boom, driven mainly by the Government’s tourism vision for the Emirates. This has a positive impact on the growth of the bedding industry, with the market expecting to reach a value of Dhs635 million this year, representing a 10% increase from 2013 .
With a total investment of over AED 35 million in automation and re-engineering of the manufacturing processes, Intercoil is planning to double their mattress output in the next 15 months to meet the growing demand. The company’s hospitality division works to meet specific and individual requirements of corporate and institutional clients, including hotels, government departments and hospitals.
During The Hotel Show, Intercoil will display ‘Signature Sleep by Four Seasons’, the first custom designed mattress in the hospitality industry. The all-new mattress, designed by the US leading bedding company Simmons, allows the hotel to personalize the bed with three Signature mattress toppers to their guest’s unique preference, to provide the best sleep experience. Exclusive licensee of Simmons in the Middle East, Intercoil will manufacture and provide the customised mattresses and beds to Four Seasons Hotels across the Middle East.
Additionally, the latest range of BeautyrestBlack® Mattresses from Simmons will be exhibited for the first time in the Middle East during the show. The luxury mattress features, among other innovative technologies, Micro Diamond™ Infused AirCool® Memory foam which draws on the conductive properties of diamonds, helping move heat away from the body for a cool, comfortable sleep.
